Class Makeups

Makeup classes are offered for any reason, but must be taken during the session in which child is currently enrolled.

Empower Academy Class Descriptions

(ALL classes welcome both Boys & Girls!)

Tot/Pre-K Morning Drop Off (2 ½ – 5 yrs) 2 hrs.

This program is a wonderful and safe way to introduce little ones to the excitement of Empower Academy—and give Moms and Dads a chance to enjoy a cup of coffee, go to the gym or even grocery shop, while their kids are having fun in a safe, structured and supervised environment (classes offered during morning drop-off).

Lightning Bugs (ages 2 ½ - 3 ½ yrs.) 30 min.

This program introduces young children to the most basic aspects of martial arts in a fun and safe atmosphere. A great way for tots to have their first socializing experience and experiment with independence! We prefer parents remain on premises, but quick errands are allowed with permission.

Little Shockers (ages 3 ½ - 5 yrs.) 40 min.

This program introduces youngsters to Practical Martial Arts principles that will build confidence, aid in goal setting, and help them develop respect for family and friends. Instructors also focus on developing self-discipline and concentration in a positive learning environment.

Little Shockers X-Treme (ages 3 ½ - 5 yrs.) 40 min.

This program incorporates all of the principles of the Little Shockers Beginner program, and introduces the fundamentals of sparring and wrestling in a safe and controlled environment.

Beginner Martial Arts One (ages 5 – 7 yrs.) 40 min.
Beginner Martial Arts Two (ages 8- 12 yrs.) 40 min.

Students in these programs learn Practical Martial Arts principles that help build confidence, aid in goal setting, and help them develop respect for family and friends. Instructors also focus on developing self-discipline and concentration—qualities that will enhance your child’s life now and into adulthood.

Storm Team One (Inter/Adv. ages 5 - 7 yrs.) 50 min.
Storm Team Two (Inter/Adv. ages 8 - 12 yrs.) 50 min.
Storm Team Three (Inter/Adv. ages 8 - 12 yrs.) 50 min.

Storm Team One, Two & Three all include sparring and wrestling, and also build on the techniques and principles learned in the Beginning Martial Arts classes. Students who are committed to earning their Black Belt will be considered for a slot in these programs. An instructor recommendation is necessary for a student to qualify for Storm Team.

Parents’ Friday Night Out (all ages) (Cost & duration will vary)

Moms and Dads deserve some fun too! Let Empower keep the kids busy while you head for a relaxing dinner or a movie night! The weekly session is open to current students ages 2 ½ thru teen. This packed evening of games, challenges and dinner will have the kids happily tired and ready to head to bed by the time you pick the up! Reservations required.

Birthday Parties (all ages) $229 Members/$249 Non-members

Celebrate your child’s big day with a memorable Empower Academy birthday celebration! For one affordable price, groups of up to 10 guests enjoy 90 minutes of fun & games, plus pizza and drinks! The birthday child will receive a FREE Empower t-shirt. We’ll even supply the party invitations, decorate, help set up and clean up. (Parents bring the cake & paper goods.) Available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays by reservation. Ask an instructor for additional details.
